Afternoon Tea at The Bell

We are delighted to say the Afternoon Tea is starting at The Bell from Monday 29th January!
Available from Monday to Saturday between 12pm and 5pm every week.
The ritual of Afternoon Tea owes its origins to Anna, the 7th Duchess of Bedford. As a young women in the early 1800s she lived during a time when it was common to eat only two main meals a day, with breakfast scheduled early in the morning and dinner occurring late in the evening. Weakened and irritated by hunger pangs each day, she decided to schedule time to take tea and snack each afternoon.
Taking inspiration from this, we decided to continue with the tradition of this delightful mid-afternoon pause and are proud to offer Afternoon Tea here at The Bell.
Our Afternoon Tea includes 3 types of sandwiches and cakes, quiche, pork pies and home made scones with clotted cream served with unlimited tea or coffee. This is priced at £22.95 for one, or you can add a little sparkle with our Prosecco Afternoon Tea for £27.95. (We are able to cater for gluten free and vegetarian diets, but unfortunately unable to adapt to vegan or for those with a dairy intolerance or allergy).
Afternoon tea gift vouchers are also available to purchase here making a lovely present for loved ones or friends.
