Burns Night at the Black Jug
Thursday 23rd January
Oidhche Bhlas Burns
In honour of Scotland's best loved bard, dust off ye sporan and don your kilt and brave the cold for a night of Scottish culinary delights and a variety of warming single malts to celebrate the life of Robert Burns. A three course bespoke menu will be on offer for the evening, which will include staples such as black pudding, neeps and tatties and, of course, that "wee beastie," haggis. Keep your eyes peeled for the full menu over the coming days.
We will be holding the event on evening of 23rd Jan, a couple of days early, but we could not wait that long.
As per protocol, the haggis will be appropriately addressed as "chieftain o'the puddin' race-" read by our esteemed regular, Stewart - prior to consumption.
No Scottish event would be complete without a dram or three of whisky. With over two hundred to choose from here at The Black Jug, the only problem will be making your choice - but not without some gentle guidance from our staff.
The evening is going to be super popular, so book early to avoid disappointment. Click here to book your slot and raise a glass to the "weejock hisself."
We hope you will be able to join us.
