Here is just a little info to let you get to know us better...
Here is little potted history of our pub and the local area... if you have a spare minute or two and maybe a cup of tea (or is that a G&T), we think it's well worth read.
If you'd like to put a name to a face, allow us to introduce you to the crew...
Manager
A Yorkshire lad, Liam joined B&P at one of our sister pubs, the Highwayman in 2019 before joining the Bull.
Having trained as a chef at college, and worked in the industry for most of his working life, Liam brings a wealth of knowledge on all things beer, wine and food. If he's not wokring, you'll find Liam out for a walk with his dog Buster or attempting to play golf on a course somewhere!
Deputy Manager
Chloe fondly known at Chlo or by our IT guy at head office a little terrier, started at the Bull as a supervisor and because we loved her so much she moved quickly up to Trainee Assistant Manager. In her spare time she is a lover for baking and makes a mean chocolate cake for us all.
Deputy Manager
Aaron started work here when he was 16, working part-time at weekends and throughout the holidays. After gaining his degree at Newcastle University in Business with Marketing Management, it wasn't long before he was offered a full-time role and promoted to Supervisor, and he's now set his sights on running his own pub one day! Until then, we will continue to enjoy his upbeat personality and stories of the two recent additions to his family, puppies Leela and Bean.
Assistant Manager
Will joined our team a year ago, totally new to the area and industry (previously living in Hertfordshire). He has since gained a passion for hospitality and we all look forward to seeing him continue to grow and thrive here. When he's not working you'll often find him exploring the Yorkshire countryside with his wife and two lovely dogs.
Assistant Manager
Josh joins us from a background in hospitality. After studying theoretical physics, he's decided that the pub life is perfect for him, alongside a lovely pint of Hetton Pale!
Trainee Assistant Manager
Sophie joined us back in May 2022 and she's a star! Usually found taking care of our lovely diners, nothing's ever too much trouble. When she's not here, she's a devoted mum to Rhys her little lad.
Bar/Waiting
Louise worked at The Bull several years ago, and after a break found herself missing the camaraderie and decided to re-join the team last year, and we're so pleased she did! Never short of a smile or a laugh, she's our lovely lunch time lady
Head Chef
Andy heads up the chef team, having worked for B&P for a very impressive 25 years. Having led the Corn Mill, Fox and Wharf kitchens for several years, he is used to what we like to call 'extreme catering'. When pressure allows you'll find Andy topping up his tan at his house in Spain or cheering on his beloved Leeds United at Elland Road.
