Pie and Champion Beers of Britain Week

Monday 4th to Saturday 9th November

What is not to love about a pie – whether it be puff, suet, short crust, sweet or topped with potato (discuss – is a pie still a pie if no pastry?) – we love them all and will be celebrating all things pie here at Telegraph from Monday 4th November until Saturday 9th November.
If pie isn’t your thing (I know – we can’t think who this might be aimed at either) then don’t fear, the Pie Menu will run alongside our Daily Menu as an added extra treat.
Probably the best thing about Autumn and Winter (other then the pies!) is that it's real ale drinking season! On the bar we will have a cracking line up of Champion Beers of Britain to accompany your pastry filled treats, including:

A strong bitter with a rich malt and marmalade bitterness. The 2nd most awarded beer in CAMRA history. Champion Beer of Britain in 1978, 1981 and 1985.

Pale in colour with a subtle hint of grapefruit and lemon in the aroma, the wonderful hop bitterness is complemented by a balanced malt flavour. Supreme Champion Beer of Britain 2019
Fall's Gold | Tillingbourne, Surrey | 4.2%
A superb golden ale with a soft fruity nose. A bitter apricot front is followed a charming light hoppiness making it a highly popular and sessionable ale. Champion Gold Ale 2013 and 2014
Sussex Best | Harvey's, Lewes | 4%
This iconic best bitter, doughy and caramelly, with top notes of banana and floral spice and satisfying hop kick. beautifully balanced. Champion beer of Britain 2005 and 2006
Broadside | Adnam's, Southwold | 6.3%
A strong ale, it's a dark ruby red beer with flavours of fruitcake, almonds, and conserved fruit richness. Brewed with First Gold hops. Champion Beer 2003 (Gold)
