Each day, before midday we upload the day's menus, it's always nice to whet your appetite before you even get to us.
Puddings & Cheese
Where certain allergens are highlighted the allergen may relate to just one component of the dish, which may easily be substituted or removed. For more information please ask one of our crew.
We always advise you to mention any food allergies or intolerances when ordering. We are happy to provide allergy guidelines to support you in making your own menu choice; however, we cannot recommend or tell you what is suitable for you to eat or drink.
Allergies, Intolerances and Dietary Requirements - We actively manage the main fourteen allergens recognised by the Food Standards Agency (see below) but are unable to give information on allergens outside of this. We will, of course, do what we can to accommodate requests outside these fourteen, but these will be put through to the kitchen as a ‘request’ not an allergy order.
Cross Contamination - Our food is prepared in areas where cross contamination may also occur. This means that we can never guarantee a dish is completely free from any allergens or specific ingredients. We declare allergens if they are intentionally added to a product. Where our suppliers have indicated possible cross contamination risks, we also declare their allergen ‘may contain’ risks. If the food is served in its packaging, we advise you to refer to the manufacturer’s label. If you are concerned about possible allergen cross contamination of the food you wish to consume, please ask us for further information on our cooking methods and policies.
The Food Standards Agency continue to advise people who have a peanut allergy to avoid eating any foods that contain or may contain mustard, mustard seeds, mustard powder or mustard flour because of potential contamination with peanuts
Gluten Free - Where we offer gluten free dishes, controls are in place to ensure that dishes contain no more than 20 parts per million gluten; however, as we handle many allergens in our busy kitchens, we therefore cannot guarantee all traces of allergens are completely removed.

Our Cheeses
Quicke's Mature Cheddar - Newton St. Cryes, Devon
Handcrafted using milk from their grass-fed cows, clothbound and naturally matured, typically for 12-15 months. A rich and buttery cheddar that offers outstanding depth of flavour, which develops as it reaches the back of the palate. Brothy to grassy to caramel notes.
Ashlynn Goats Cheese - Evesham, Worcestershire
A cheese of contrasts in more ways than one. Ashlynn has a striking monochrome appearance thanks to a pure white interior set against a dark ash-coated rind and thin line of charcoal running through its centre. There are also interesting contradictions in the flavour. Ashlynn's delicate appearance belies a sultry complexity. The paste is fabulously buttery, but a spear of lemony sharpness pierces the richness and opens up intriguing savoury depths and a tingle of spice.
Colston Bassett Blue Stilton - Colston Basset, Nottingham
Gentler, sweeter and more balanced than a ‘typical’ blue cheese, it boasts a creamy, buttery paste pierced with the delicate blue veining characteristic of a Stilton. Colston Bassett Dairy, which was set up as a cooperative in 1913 and is still owned by a handful of local residents and the farmers who supply the milk, is one of only five dairies in the world still producing Stilton. They are also the only one that continues the traditional process of ladling the curds from the vat to the cooling trays entirely by hand: an important step in achieving a smooth, rich-textured cheese.
Plaisir de Roy Brie - Pays de la Loire, France
Full fat Soft cheese made from pasteurized cow's milk. A mild, mould ripened Brie from Pays de la Loire, with a milky flavour, buttery texture and a light hint of hazelnut and mushroom notes.
