Here is just a little info to let you get to know us better...
Here is little potted history of our pub and the local area... if you have a spare minute or two and maybe a cup of tea (or is that a G&T), we think it's well worth read.
If you'd like to put a name to a face, allow us to introduce you to the crew...
Manager
Will embarked on his B&P journey in 2019 at the Plough and Harrow in Malvern. Since then, he's lent his talents to the Telegraph and Coco Momo. With a hospitality career spanning from his teenage years, he's risen from Kitchen Porter to where he is today. A fan of good drinks and Manchester City, he's happiest with a beer in hand, surrounded by dogs on a sunny day at the pub!
Assistant Manager
Minni has been working within Brunning and Price since 2020. Starting at our sister pub the Roebuck as a trusty waitress, she has worked her way up throughout the years and became Assistant Manager when she moved to the Steampacket. In her spare time you can find Minni at her local pub drinking a glass (or bottle) of her favourite wine or a vodka craaaan !
Supervisor
Jose is 55 loud and proud and you will never see him standing still. If we had an award for the most organised person in the pub it would go to him! When he's not cleaning a shelf, organising the cellar or pulling a pint he'll be at home baking, and boy do we love his baking! The rest of team steam really don't mind being a guinea pig when he brings the puds over. He's an absolute delight to have around the pub. He's an honest, trustworthy and hard working guy who loves to have fun at work and he enjoys going on the B&P wine tasting days. Jose is an excellent team player!!
Supervisor
Mia’s been with us for a year and a half now, and we honestly couldn’t imagine the place without them! They’ve been a big part of making our pub what it is today. Before joining us, Mia studied Film Production at university and dreams of becoming a sound engineer one day. When they’re not here, Mia loves gaming and hanging out with their fiancé.
Bar/Waiting
Dario is our longest serving member of crew here at the Steam Packet starting his career with us in 2019 when the pub first opened. Dario runs our dining room like there's no tomorrow, you will never catch him standing still. He knows the pub like the back of his hand, he's always our go-to man. In his spare time you will find him painting amazing artwork, visiting galleries and theaters and drinking his beloved whiskey.
Bar/Waiting
Emily is our performing arts graduate (if you couldn't tell by the headshot...). You will find Emily serving tables with a big smile on their face. Emily loves dogs and coffee. You will find Emily playing dungeons and dragons in their spare time as well as grabbing a beer with their mates.
Sous Chef
Derico knows his way around a kitchen. We think he has great taste generally although his choice of football team has our current Head Chef bewildered. Honestly, you couldn't find a better atmosphere in any kitchen on a Man City Vs. Man Utd day if they are both working together. D hails from Goa and has come up with a few dishes that we sneak in occasionally on the light bites that showcase that. Now we just need to convert him into a Bee's fan!
Chef de Partie
Everyone loves Money right? We certainly do... He loves working here at the Steam Packet, and is happiest when creating new dishes for your delight. Manvir is entering his third year with us and we can honestly say he brings that little bit of sunshine and joy to work that makes the day seem, well, more than just work. He doesn't follow football but will happily tell the other chefs that they should support the team from the area they are from. We couldn't agree more...
